My Life Blogs

This is the personal blog website of Tony T. Henrie.

Recently, my wife, Linda, asked me to compile my most memorable experiences from my career as a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for my children. As I thought about that, I realized that more than anything I wanted to compile my most cherished spiritual and faith-building experiences for them.  As I thought deeper on the subject, I began to realize that I wanted a means of compiling all those experiences, yet have the ability to add to them as memories came to me, and I wanted to be able to make them available to all my family, including my parents, siblings, wife, and children…and theirs.

I have kept handwritten journals for many years. On my shelves sit volume upon volume of my past journals, containing my most cherished and regrettable and memorable and forgettable experiences of my life. However, my journals are mostly composed of information of little value for anyone but myself at the time it was written. Anyone reading my journals would necessarily wade through pages and pages of unimportant scribbling before coming upon anything of importance. It occurs to me that once I pass from this life, my journals will likely be stored in boxes, never again to be opened.

So, if my family and posterity are to get anything of value from my journals, I will have to extract the most important bits of information from them and from my memory and compile them in a form accessible to those who would read them. It should be easily accessible, searchable, include photographs when possible, yet be private and secure, and I must be able to add to and edit the information as I go. It seemed a blog was just the thing.

Over the past several years, I have learned a thing or two about maintaining a website and a blog. I already have a website hosting account, so it was a simple matter of buying the domain and setting things up.

So, we have the domain:  tonyhenrie.me

I will maintain at least two blogs on this site:

This is Me“, or “The Life and Times of Tony Torild Henrie” will house my life and career experiences, including the exciting, the boring, the good, maybe some of the bad, the spiritual and faith-building, as well as the down times; things I enjoyed and things I learned from. The post entries will be categorized, so that one may choose the posts most interesting to him or her. This blog is private, by invitation only, reserved for myself and family.

Weather on the Horizon” is a blog I have maintained for several years, on which I have written many of the things of my heart and soul, as well as some other meandering thoughts from my wandering mind. This blog is public. Anybody may read it.

I may add other blogs for specific reasons. My family members are invited to start a blog on this site as well, private or public. In fact, I encourage it. If you are interested, let me know and I’ll set it up. It just takes a minute or two.
